Job Description
Background
The Liberia Electricity Corporation is a public utility entity created in 1973 by the Government of the Republic of Liberia through an act of Legislature with a mandate to produce and supply economic and reliable electric power to the entire nation, while at the same time maintaining the corporation financial viability.
LEC invites applications from appropriately qualified and experienced male and female candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out routine / schedule maintenance on the various substations, riser cable, station transformers, 22KV and 66KV distribution breaker
- Install, repair and replace 22KV riser cables
- Check, clean and service distribution 22KV breakers
- Check, calibrate station protection replies
- Check, clean and service 66KV breakers, bus and substation
- Carry out all 66kv switching
- Carry out routine maintenance and replacement of all CTs and PTs
- Check and maintain the DC system in for 66kv and 22kv substations
- Perform weekly checks and start all stand by generators at the various substations
- To perform PM and repair according to schedule and approved format
- Apply all safety standard and procedures require for working on 22KV and 0.04KV
Job Related Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Minimum Secondary Education
- Relevant vocational training
Required Experience
- At least 3 years electrical utility experience as a technician
