Background
The Liberia Electricity Corporation is a public utility entity created in 1973 by the Government of the Republic of Liberia through an act of Legislature with a mandate to produce and supply economic and reliable electric power to the entire nation, while at the same time maintaining the corporation financial viability.
LEC invites applications from appropriately qualified and experienced male and female candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Tasks and Responsibilities of the Engineer for T&D Operations shall be but not limited to the following:
- Supervise the Emergency Operations Crews within various zones
- Monitor the use of all Emergency Operations Crew vehicles to include fuel servicing schedule, daily mileage and assigned drivers
- Prepare Work Schedule for Shift Workers
- Submission of Timely Reports
- Monitor and Maintain a log on repair materials
- Monitor and Maintain a log of all tools, test equipment and others assigned to the Operations Section
- Carry out Switching on the distribution network to create safety clearance for works and maintain supply to greater parts of the network
- Maintain a statistical log of all trouble calls and prepare work orders for the maintenance and smooth operations of the distribution network
Job Related Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualification
- Bachelor of Science degree or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a reputable college or university
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience within a power utility
- Two 2 years of work experience with field work
